Hello Playdate Community, 👋
👉Here’s a rare Friday Quick News Update since there is no episode of Uncrank’d TV today. Form links are down below.
Note: Some of the info has already been said in this week's QNU, but there are important deadline dates for the projects that were not mentioned before so that these projects can continue moving forward giving artists enough time to work their magic, fast shipping for the holidays, and just in general.
1) Playdate Community Direct: Summer Edition
📣Deadline extension! The new date to send in your trailers is June 14th. 📣
2) Autumn game bundle anyone?
Please let me know if you are interested (DM or by email). I have five (5) spaces left.
3) Uncrank’d AMA📣
As mentioned earlier this week and during the latest episode of the Hello Playdate Podcast, I am planning an Uncrank’d AMA. A few questions have already been sent in, but it is not long enough for a full-length YouTube video. It would be added to the season 3 premiere of Uncrank’d TV. If more questions come in, then it will be a separate video. I already recorded answers to the questions I received. Send in your questions using the form. I’ll add a few extra days to the original deadline. 📅
Uncrank’d Projects📣
4) Project Coffee table
If you would like to be a part of this big project with a holiday 2025 release, DM me on Discord or send an email to uncrankdproductions@gmail.com.
Don’t forget to mention if it’s for book 1: a coding/info book, or book 2: the artbook.
5) Advent calendar & 2026 Community Calendar
Spaces are limited to join these projects.
Important deadlines:
📅 Community Calendar deadlines:
Since spaces are very limited, to join the calendar, the last day is June 28th, giving everyone more than enough time to get their art ready for printing by August 4th. Printing times are not too bad now, but it will get longer closer to the holiday season.
📅 The last day to join the Advent calendar is August 15th. Even if you don’t have a game ready, it’s better to lock in your spot. Having merchandise manufactured takes more time now, and for the calendars to be shipped to customers on-time, so that everyone can follow along with the app starting on December 1st. It’s better to get things finalized ahead of time. If you’re a zine subscriber, you know the story from last year's edition.
If you have any questions, reach out to me.
Have a great weekend everyone. 🫶
Cheers,
- XL
